parameters — --stylize and --s
What --stylize sets, and its second job
Stylize is how much artistic latitude Midjourney takes with your prompt. Low is literal, high is expressive — and when a personalization profile is attached, the same number is also that profile’s volume.
--stylize answers one question: when your prompt and Midjourney's aesthetic instincts disagree, who wins?
--stylize <0–1000> --s <0–1000> (same parameter, short form)

Midjourney describes it as a slider for how much artistic creativity is applied. Low values stick to the facts of what you wrote. High values produce something more visually interesting that may drift from the exact details you asked for.

Stylize and --raw are not the same knob
Both push away from Midjourney's house style, so they get confused — but they act on different things.

They stack, and the combination is a recognisable "get out of the way" instruction: a low stylize with --raw, usually alongside a style reference that is supplying the look instead. Here is that tail on a real prompt:

The second job: scaling personalization
This is the part that is easy to miss. When a prompt carries a personalization profile or moodboard, --stylize also controls how much of that is applied — lower limits it, higher increases it. Same 0–1000 range, same default of 100.

In Discord the settings panel offers stylize presets rather than a number field. The preset values are real numbers underneath — select one and read "Current suffix" to see which.
The collection publishes every prompt with its parameters separated out, so you can see where stylize was set on images whose look you actually want.
